Welcome to The Centre for Urban Transport Technology

The Centre for Urban Transport Technology (CUTT) at QMUL operates in “Four Grand Challenge” areas, the core activity being the “Future of Mobility” where we develop teams that can work to reduce carbon emissions and other pollutants as part of the “Clean Growth” agenda. Congestion is tackled by adopting “Artificial Intelligence and data” to develop higher-density usage of road spaces enabled by the usage of automated vehicles and traffic control systems. Mobility for an “Ageing Society” is addressed from both a healthy living and an accessibility and health care provision perspective.
